Meet the Team

Horizon Agency has been in business since 1974 and has a combined 200 years of insurance experience. Our sports division area can handle every area of insurance coupled with excellent servicing, claims handling, loss control and risk management.

Sales Team:

Jake Hoeschler - Jake developed the Ski & Sport Shop Program and is the program administrator. He started with a single ski shop in 1988 and now the program has over 1,500 shops nationwide. He has been active in the ski industry for the past 35 years. He skied for the University of Colorado in the mid 1960's and raced the World Cup Circuit, the Olympics and the professional circuit until 1977. Jake is a lawyer as well and uses his law background in the development of sample release forms and risk management manuals.

Rob Martin - Rob has worked in the ski industry for 8 years with a background in ski retail management. He specializes in sales and marketing in the ski program. He can provide quotes and answer question about the program.

Timothy T. Scattarella (CPCU) - Tim has been working in the insurance industry for the past 13 years working as an insurance company underwriter and as an independent agent specializing in the ski and sport shop area. He has earned the C.P.C.U. designation which is recognized as a symbol of high achievement in the insurance industry.

Helen Stuart - Helen has 30 years insurance experience, with the last 10 years at Horizon Agency. In addition to sales, she is the glue that holds the program together. If you don't know who to call; call Helen. She will be able to help you or connect you with the appropriate person.

Linda Bregel - Linda has been working with our program for the last 5 years. She works with Jake and Helen handling the day-to-day management of your account, policy changes and renewal processing.

Claims Service:

Elaine Burtman - Elaine is our claims manager and has over 16 years experience. She handles all our program's property, liability and auto claims. She coordinates all our designated claims adjusters and any involved binding manufacturers.
